Quick, simple, and packed with flavor, this dish is perfect for a weeknight dinner or a weekend barbecue with friends.

Health Benefits of Halibut for Men

Halibut may not be as well-known as salmon for its omega-3 content, but it still offers a good dose of these essential fatty acids. Omega-3s are crucial for men’s health, as they have anti-inflammatory properties that can reduce the risk of chronic diseases like heart disease, dementia, and type 2 diabetes. Halibut is also rich in minerals and vitamins such as selenium, phosphorus, magnesium, and B vitamins, which support brain health, heart function, thyroid health, and cell repair.

Ingredients for Grilled Halibut:

  • 2 tablespoons of melted butter
  • 2 tablespoons of honey
  • 1/2 lemon, juiced
  • 2 teaspoons of soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon of pepper
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 pound of fresh halibut fillet

Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, honey, lemon juice, soy sauce, pepper, and minced garlic.
  2. Cut the halibut fillet into 3 or 4 pieces, ensuring each piece is a portion size of 3 to 6 oz. Brush both sides of the fish with the liquid mixture.
  3. Preheat the grill until hot. Cook the halibut for 90 seconds on each side over high heat, then reduce the heat to medium and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes on each side until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
