As the autumn season approaches, we are entering a phase where the Metal element’s influence begins to take hold. This transition impacts our bodies on a deeper level, especially the Spleen/Stomach pair, calling for attention and care.
Guidelines:
DAY 1: Set Your Intention
It’s essential to let go in order to receive. Take a moment to reflect on what you need to release, whether it’s physical belongings or emotional baggage. By creating space, you invite new energy and positivity into your life.
- Digest/Materialized: Assess what possessions or habits you can part ways with to declutter your life.
- Digest/Non-Materialized: Focus on releasing negative emotions like anger or worry to make room for joy and peace.
Remember, letting go is a gradual process, so be patient with yourself. Your commitment to this journey is what matters most.
Day 2-5: Minimize Energy Drains
Connect with nature to rejuvenate your spirit and observe the beauty around you. Embrace a lighter diet by reducing your food intake and focusing on nourishing foods that support your body’s energy.
- Limits: Cut back on meat, dairy, and alcohol, opting for watermelon, peanuts, Chinese barley, and mung beans instead.
- Qigong Practice: Incorporate Qigong routines into your daily schedule to promote balance and harmony within your body.
By aligning with the energy of the season and nourishing your body with the right foods and practices, you set the stage for a week of growth and well-being.
DAYS 5-7: Deepen Your Practice
Take note of the changes you’re experiencing—feeling lighter, more at ease, and in tune with your body. Dive deeper into your Qigong practice and continue to lighten your diet to enhance the benefits of self-nurturing.
